Adani Outlines Aggressive 45 GW Power Capacity Target at AGM
During its June 2026 Annual General Meeting, Adani Group announced a massive ₹2 lakh crore capital expenditure plan over the next five years to scale its power generation capacity to 45 GW, up from the current 18 GW. The group has also formally entered the nuclear energy sector via its new subsidiary, Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL), targeting 10 GW of capacity by 2035 through newly formed progressive and coastal atomic energy units.

Airport City Projects Receive ₹20,000 Crore Initial Allocation
Concurrently, the group’s infrastructure arm, Adani Airport City Limited (AACL), is investing ₹20,000 crore in the first phase of its “Airport Cities” project. The investment will develop 655 acres surrounding six airports, including Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, which will receive 70% of the funds. This is part of a broader ₹1 lakh crore aviation sector capex program designed to turn regional transit hubs into commercial destinations.
