Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has reported a consolidated net loss of ₹2,443 crore for the financial year 2024. The massive loss is primarily a result of exceptional items totaling ₹2,720 crore linked to its parent company, Byju’s (Think & Learn Pvt Ltd). These items include a ₹780 crore loan write-off and over ₹1,300 crore in finance costs related to parent-level debt obligations. Despite these financial setbacks, Aakash remained operationally robust, maintaining an EBITDA-positive status with operational revenues of ₹2,438 crore.
