Leverage Edu Near Securing $20M Fresh Funding
Study-abroad admission and student finance platform Leverage Edu is in advanced talks to close a $20 million funding round. The financing round, which is expected to be led by existing venture capital backers and a new global growth fund, values the Delhi-based ed-tech startup at $300 million. This capital raise highlights continued investor interest in foreign education platforms, despite a broader slowdown in the consumer edtech segment.
Leverage Edu plans to utilize the fresh capital to expand its student housing and financial services vertical, Fly Finance. The company has seen significant growth in its student loan division, which provides education loans to Indian students studying in the UK, US, and Canada. The platform aims to build an end-to-end ecosystem covering university applications, visas, accommodation, and banking.

Edtech Sector Divergence and International Student Growth
The funding round comes at a time when traditional K-12 and test-prep edtech startups are facing valuation declines. In contrast, platforms focusing on international student mobility have benefited from a post-pandemic surge in Indian students moving abroad for higher education. Leverage Edu’s management indicated that the company is on track to achieve operating profitability by the end of the next fiscal year, supported by high conversion rates and expanding partnerships with universities.
