Honasa Consumer Enters Nutraceuticals with Fluence Pharma Acquisition
Honasa Consumer Limited, the rapidly growing parent company behind popular personal care brands Mamaearth and The Derma Co, has officially entered the lucrative health and wellness sector. In June 2026, Honasa announced the acquisition of a 58% majority stake in Mumbai-based Fluence Pharma for an enterprise value of ₹135 crore. This strategic secondary share purchase marks Honasa’s aggressive entry into the Indian nutraceuticals and “beauty-from-within” market, an industry currently estimated to be worth over ₹16,000 crore.
To spearhead this new vertical, Honasa has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary named Honasa Health Pvt. Ltd. The corporate roadmap dictates that Honasa will acquire the remaining 42% stake in Fluence Pharma over the next five to seven years in two structured tranches at a pre-aligned valuation. This phased acquisition allows Honasa to carefully integrate Fluence’s specialized operations while maintaining the founders’ operational expertise during the critical transition period.

Leveraging Cyclical Nutrition Therapy and Dermatologist Networks
Founded in 2012, Fluence Pharma has built a strong reputation around its patented Cyclical Nutrition Therapy (CNT) platform. The company specializes in creating gender- and condition-specific over-the-counter (OTC) supplements targeting hair and skin health, boasting popular brands such as Hair Fact and Skin Fact. Crucially, Fluence has established a deep, highly trusted prescribing network of over 3,000 dermatologists across India, providing a powerful moat against traditional retail competitors.
By bringing Fluence Pharma under its corporate umbrella, Honasa Consumer intends to synergize this clinical credibility with its own formidable digital-first distribution and marketing prowess. Honasa Health will focus on scaling Fluence’s B2C nutrition portfolio, leveraging quick-commerce channels and aggressive online brand-building strategies. This acquisition represents a clear shift in Honasa’s strategy, moving beyond topical cosmetics to offer holistic, scientifically-backed health and beauty solutions to the Indian consumer.
